COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY PLAN

The 2009 Comprhensive Community Plan is a complete rewrite of the 2002 Comprehensive Community Plan, which was initially written in 1992 and had since been implemented.

The Plan was written with input from the public and town boards and commissions, as well as the Planning Board's assessment of issues facing Barrington.

The Comprehensive Community Plan sets the Town's goals and policies addressing a wide range of issues, including housing, land use, transportation, parks & recreation, community services & facilities, and environmental protection. The Plan provides a basis for zoning, development/subdivision standards, capital improvement budgets, State grant applications and Town policies.
