Motion to Approve Minutes of February 15, 2012 was made by Kristopher Leadem and seconded by Kelley Torrey. Approved unanimously.

Barrington RI Plat 28/Lot 106 /Assessment $251,300
Jane Schinigoi, (daughter) represented Manuel & Sally Andrade, at their hearing. Photos of the interior of the property were submitted to the Board- showing lack of renovations/remodeling to the interior.
Motion to change condition from good-average ($251,300) to fair-average ($240,900) was made by Kristopher Leadem and seconded by John D. Alessandro Jr.; Approved unanimously.
8 Evergreen Street
Barrington RI Plat 32/ Lot 116/Assessment $267,600
Stan Israel, was present at his hearing; Questioning his higher assessment, bank appraisal was submitted to the Board. Board notes discrepancies with appraisal- effective date of 2011- house styles used were ranches not raised ranches.
Motion to deny (market value/sales supported assessment) was made by Kristopher Leadem and seconded John D. Alessandro Jr.; Approved unanimously.
482 Washington Road
Barrington RI Plat 5/ Lot 31/Assessment $1,124,300
Frederic & Kay Flanagan were present for their hearing; also present was Peter Scotti, Scotti & Associates, his appraisal information was submitted. Board requesting photos of the interior of the property, which were not included in the appraisal submitted.
Motion to continue, Board will make interior inspection of property for the next agenda (March 7, 2012) was made by Kristopher Leadem and seconded by John D. Alessandro Jr.; Approved unanimously.
8 Holly Lane
Barrington RI Plat 11/ Lot 78 /Assessment $2,577,800
Stephen Tortolani, was present at his hearing; stating he purchased this property 2/2011 for $2,125,000. Assessment on property is $2,577,800; states sale price should reflect the fair market value for assessment.
Motion to reduce assessment from $2,577,800 to $2,300,000 was made by Kelley Torrey and seconded by John D. Alessandro Jr. Approved 2-1, Kristopher Leadem did not vote in favor of this Motion.
500 County Road
Barrington RI Plat 13/ Lot 202/Assessment $375,600
Joaquin Deamorim, was present at his hearing; Assessment was increased upon his initial appeal to Tax Assessor, due to 5% reduction factor for roof- factor was removed, which increased his assessment. Notes property has water/mold issues, also states that his property does not have a finished basement, which is stated on property field card.
Motion to remove finished basement item from field card (assessment reduced from $375,600 to $373,100) was made by Kristopher Leadem and seconded by John D. Alessandro Jr.; Approved unanimously.
29 Hazelton Road
Barrington RI Plat 14 Lot 93 /Assessment $285.800
William and Susan Bernstein, were not present at their hearing. Board reviewed information, which was submitted with the appeal, questioning use of foreclosure sales.
Motion to deny was made by John D. Alessandro Jr. and seconded Kristopher Leadem; Approved unanimously.
