The Barrington Senior Center Gets a Face Lift

On Saturday, April 19th   a team of volunteers from Atria converged on the Barrington Senior Center to give the place a fresh new look.  The pale yellow walls were starting to seem drab and old.   Director Louise House wanted to give the place a serine, feeling and chose hues of blue and green for the walls. The job took about 10 to 12 hours with 8 hard working volunteers.   What a difference a coat of paint can make!  The room looks great and feels even bigger than before.

There's a mural of the Town Hall and Community Center that's been hanging on the wall since 2001 that hasn't been noticed in years.  Now it's the first thing people see.  The new color just brought that painting to life. Both staff and clients and impressed with the results.  If you haven't seen the center lately, stop by and say "hello".

A special thanks to Community Outreach Director Barbara Dunder and all the Atria volunteers for selecting the Barrington Senior Center as their community service project.
